Today I went to my interview in Forest, VA. I met my delegation leader and 2 other students were with me, and it turns out one of the guys at the interview i haven't seen since 5th grade! It was very nice to see him again . My delegation leader seemed really nice and she was even joking around with me and my mother after the interview. It'll be great having her on the trip. There were only 8 people signed up to actually do interviews with her, so she just reviewed the reccomendation letters and called within 5 hours to tell us we were accepted. My first orientation meeting is sometime in November. I'm going on the British and Irish Heritage trip which goes to England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. I'm super excited to be able to go on this trip! Is anyone else going on this trip? Maybe our delegations will be able to meet .

Sadly I believe my time with people to people may be over. I an considering traveling as a junior leader in college, but I am leaning more toward doing a different program in college.

But it is hard to find people from your exact delegation on here. I actually met someone from my trip in 2009 on here. But that was the only person. You could though find someone you may run into on your trip, or someone going on the same trip from another delegation.

Im leaving June 13 and coming back July 1st    Im so excited i cant wait....the only thing that sucks though is my birthday is June 19 so i will be gone for my birthday but its still an amazing 15th birthday

your lucky i had kinda the same thing i had my 14th birthday in england on london eye changing of the guard n the actual celebration in convent gardens. having your birthday on people to people makes it soo much better they get you a cake and everyone signs your card its amazing. every other birthday after it i wished i was in another country so thats the only bad part. you will never forget that birthday and thats what makes it so special. so this year i actually am planning on it and going with another delegation to be there for my birthday

Anyone that ever celebrated a birthday with p2p said it was the best birthday ever. This summer in Ecuador, one girls birthday was on the day we visited a rose farm. And on the way to dinner our delegation manager stopped the bus, didn't tell anyone and comes back on with a huge bouquet of roses for my friend and all the other girls got a single rose from another bouquet.

southeastern VA? awesome im sorta in the middle right on the boarder of VA and NC. I'm supposed to be leaving June 19th but we aren't sure if that will be the exact date yet.
