My Story
I went to Australia in 2004 when I was going into the 7th grade. I vowed to never go again, because I had felt alone and a bit scared. By the end of my trip there, I thought I'd never travel with P2P again. Now, I've figured out about the European "Beyond Walls" trip this summer and I was instantaneously hooked again. I just opened my mail about 20 minutes ago and I've been bugging my dad already about this new excursion. I speak some German, so I think it would be cool to sort of test myself and my speaking abilities while there.

Anyways, I'm really involved in my theatre at school. I've been in Les Miserables, Wizard of Oz, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (shocker, I was Mrs. Gloop [the German woman]). I love artistic things and I love music. I find myself at concerts constantly. My favorite band at the moment would have to be Your Favorite Enemies. They come out of Montréal, CA and they're a great bunch of people (6 of them to be exact). You all should go add them on MySpace... http://www.myspace.com/yourfavoriteenemies

You won't be disappointed, at all!

Have a great day! =]

So, you all know a little bit about me from my info. I just want to say that I have never regretted going to Australia in 2004. It was definitely a life changing experience, and I'll never forget it. I just hope I can be as blessed to go to Europe this summer with the "Beyond Walls" group. I've studied German in school for the past two years, and I've picked up on the language pretty quickly. I's a really beautiful language and I've found a love for it. Also, I've studied the Holocaust and WWII eras since I was much younger. I found it so interesting, so moving, yet so inspiring. There are so many people that are out there that are treated, literally, like dirt, and so many people don't even realize it. I am a firm believer in equality and peace and I think it is attainable, but it will take a lot of work. Now, I'm not going to go into a political rant/discussion, but I thought I'd throw my ideas out there. Have a wonderful day/night!
